Mathilde de Turckheim
Lapin Panier

Parisian jewelry designer, Mathilde de Turckheim was born in Beirut, raised in France, spent several years in West Africa, and now resides in New York City. Living in such rich and varied cultures, fueled de Turckheim’s imagination at an early age, inspiring her to create designs vibrant as a West African bird, as bold as cut glass and as delicate as a tiny treasure scavenged from a flea market in Paris.

After studying painting and drawing at various Parisian ateliers, Ms. de Turckheim spent nine years selling high-end Italian textiles to French Ready-to-Wear designers including such renowned firms as Paul & Joe.
In 2004, she launched her first collection “Colliers à Nouer”, a series of one-of-a-kind necklaces that taunt the imagination with their counter-play of exotic colors, ethnic touches and charming femininity. Rich in texture with an asymmetric boldness, each design makes a woman feel as though she’s wearing an elegant souvenir evoking a world that exists only in Mathilde’s playful imagination.
